Important news on OCEAN shipping
Effective January 26, 2010, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has enforced this new regulation known as Importer Security Filing (ISF) where importers and ocean carriers are mandated to electronically report their shipment arrival details to CBP at least 24 hours before cargo is loaded on the ocean vessel. Failure to comply or filing late may result in a fine of $5,000 per violation. Importers and carriers are solely responsible for compliance. Please call us before you decide to authorize shipping via ocean freight. It may NOT be worth the fine and/or delays in clearance resulting to massive storage charges. This regulation was formulated to target prohibited and high risk cargo and mainly secure all U.S. borders/ports of entry from any acts of terrorism. Airfreight is hassle-free and still the most expeditious and efficient way to ship game trophies.
